Aquapups was founded by Sam Hinton, whose lifelong love of the water began as a competitive swimmer and evolved into a passion for helping others feel confident and capable in the pool. From lifeguarding and teaching swimming at just 16, to competing in triathlons and open water events, Sam’s journey has always led back to the water. After an 18 year career in the police force and raising a family, she returned to her true calling, teaching swimming.

Our Vision

At Aquapups, our mission is simple: to teach people of all ages how to swim safely and confidently, in a warm, welcoming, and fun environment. Whether you're taking your very first strokes or working to refine your technique, our expert instructors are here to support every splash along the way.

At Aquapups, you’re not just learning to swim you’re becoming part of a supportive community where safety, progress, and enjoyment go hand in hand. We can’t wait to welcome you to the Aquapups family!

Based in Reigate and Headley, our lessons run during school term times and are taught by fully qualified instructors with up-to-date Lifeguard, First Aid, and enhanced DBS certifications.

We offer a range of lessons to suit every swimmer, including:

  • Small group classes

  • Private 1:1 or 1:2 lessons

  • School holiday crash courses (5 lessons in 5 days)

  • Holiday camps blending swimming with exciting outdoor activities

  • Pool hire for private parties and events
